Last Sunday's fourball was won by Gary Carty and Patrick Egan with 45pts, 2nd Pat Gannon and Gerry Emmett with 43pts and 3rd Jim Mooney and Pat Conroy 42pts. Card results held over at the request of the Egan clan. Competition next Sunday will be an 18 hole stableford. If you need partners please contact Michael Keville who will try and assist. Ladies Competition will be the nine hole Easter Bunny.
The draw for the spring league will take place on Sunday 28th February, entry sheet on the club noticeboard. Format will be a three ball scramble and can be played on the either the Saturday or Sunday. Date for your diary is the Captain Drive-in on Sunday March 7th.

Valentines day didn’t affect the numbers playing golf (or cards) last Sunday which says a lot about the romantic side of golfers!! The 18 hole stroke was won by Brendan Gaffney with a great score of 61, 2nd Jordan Nally with 66, Gross David Wynne and 3rd Dylan Beirne with 67. Niall Brennan won the junior competition.

In other news congrats to Paul Young and his company on their Oscar nomination for “The Secret of Kells”. A great occasion for all the Youngs and we look forward to Sean appearing in the next Hollywood blockbuster.

The course was closed last Sunday due to inclement weather. The Daily Mail foursomes will now take place next Sunday instead. Format will be a fourball better ball and the winners will go on to represent the Club.

Back on track again after the "weather break". Thanks for your support in 2009.
The Club re-opened last weekend after the long Christmas weather break. Sunday's competition was an 9 hole stabelford won by David Wynne with 23pts (Countback), 2nd Michael Bermingham 23pts, 3rd Brendan Gaffney 21pts (Countback.
Next Sunday's competition is the Daily Mail Foursomes. Format will be a fourball better ball and the winners will go on to represent the Club. We wish all our members and supporters a Happy & peacefull 2010. Comments or inclusions always welcome to the PRO in person or at mnmg@eircom.net.
